ABS Pump Rebuild and ABS Module Repair

Common faults

Vehicle ABS, or Anti-lock Braking System, is a safety feature that helps prevent wheels from locking up and skidding during sudden or hard braking. It works by controlling the brake pressure applied to each wheel individually, allowing the driver to maintain steering control and reduce the risk of accidents. ABS is now a standard feature in modern vehicles and has significantly improved road safety. ESP, or electronic stability program, is a safety feature on vehicles that helps prevent skidding and loss of control. It uses sensors to detect when the vehicle is not responding to the driver's steering input and applies brakes to individual wheels to help steer the vehicle back on course.

Are you facing issues with your ABS Pump or ABS Module? Don't worry, we can help. Whether it's a common fault or some other problem, we can get your ABS Unit tested and repaired professionally. Just fill out our test form today and let us take care of the rest.

Brakes Binding

This a common failure across vehicle manufacturers who use the ATE MK100 ABS Pump as part of their braking system. The failure will keep the brakes on one or more of the wheels on your vehicle, resulting in the vehicle becoming inoperable. When this ABS Pump failure occurs, there will not be any fault codes stored in the ABS Module or other Vehicle Control Modules.

Brake Imbalance

An extremely common fault for Vauxhall Corsa D ABS Pump, however, is also common for other vehicles and manufacturers of ABS Pumps. This failure prevents brake fluid from reaching the brake caliper on the N/S/F causing a lack of braking on the left front wheel. In turn, this lack of braking force can make the vehicle swerve to the right, into oncoming traffic under heavier braking.

ABS Return Pump

ABS/ESP Motor Faults are common across all vehicle makes and models but some more than others such as certain BMW models causing fault codes 5DF0 and 5DF1, in other makes such as VAG vehicles, you will get fault code 01276 (V64) Return flow pump. These faults will cause the ABS and ESP lights to be illuminated on the instrument cluster. VCUS is able to perform ABS Return Pump Motor repairs on all types of braking systems. Please fill out our test form today to get your ABS Pump rebuilt.

ESP Brake Pressure Sensor

Fault codes such as 01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 may be present within your ESP Control Module and will not clear. Your ABS and ESP light will be illuminated on the instrument cluster and will not extinguish until the Faulty ABS/ESP unit has been repaired. Other fault codes that you will experience are BMW 5E20 and Ford C1288. VCUS can test and repair all types of Brake Pressure Sensor failures on ESP systems. Please fill out our test form today to get your ESP pump and module rebuilt.

Other common faults

You may be experiencing other faults with the ABS / ESP Module and PUmp such as lateral acceleration sensor failure, Yaw rate sensor faults, Longitudinal sensor failure, or wheel speed sensor faults. VCUS can test for these failures so don't hesitate to fill out our test form and get your ABS Pump Module tested and repaired today.
